Retail Store Manager (12 month Maternity Cover)

Bluewater, Kent

£31,000 basic salary, plus bonus and commission (potential OTE up to £10k on top of basic)

As our portfolio grows, we have an amazing opportunity to head up and lead the foundation team at our location in Bluewater, Kent. The concept is truly stunning, and we are looking for an experienced and inspirational Store Manager to help coach and mentor the team as well as driving business to ensure the success and continued growth of the store.

Our Store Managers are committed to supervising and supporting the daily operations within the location. With a strong emphasis on offering superb levels of customer service and representing the brand always, along with your team, you will offer professional treatments and expert skin care advice to customers.

Key Responsibilities of our Store Manager:

  • As a Store Manager, you will take your customer through a journey, this will include advising, listening, and connecting with them throughout every touch point. We want to Wow our customers with a personalized experience and enable our customers to fall in love with their skin care journey.
  • As well as performing our treatments, every service must be set up as a skin care programme comprising both treatment and homecare to achieve goals. You will create a partnership by sharing your treatment plan with your customer, educate and link recommended homecare throughout.
  • You will drive retail growth month on month through motivating and supporting the team, thinking outside the box with new inspiring event ideas & exceed all location targets & KPIs.
  • You will drive events in store with both store activity & masterclasses ensuring all events are fully booked.
  • You will be a role model and perform all services regularly to the highest standard. By assisting the National Account Manager & Retail Training Manager with on counter training relating to new innovations, you will ensure that your team have the expertise to help them excel.
  • You will take the time to regularly mentor & coach your team members, driving them to succeed.
  • You follow the grooming standards to ensure that you are living and breathing Dermalogica every day. 
  • Conduct Mentoring sessions with individual staff members on a regular basis and ensure each staff member is progressing and developing within their role
  • Oversee staff rota, accommodate annual leave and manage sickness.

About The Applicant:

Do you have the below skills?

  • You will already have the education that Dermalogica can then build on and develop further. This will be in the form of an equivalent Level 3 in Beauty Therapy with Facial Electricals. This is an absolute ESSENTIAL so that we can ensure that the standards of our therapists are consistent. 
  • You will have at least 2-year management experience, ideally within a retail environment.
  • You will be an outgoing, creative thinker who can create theatre at the counter to really inspire and draw our customers to us. 
  • You will have a passion for skin health like no other brand has ever seen. You will use this passion to inspire others.

**Please note that candidates must have finished their NVQ 3 Beauty Therapy qualification, or equivalent at the time of application and must be able to provide a certificate at interview.
