Join our Christmas Ice Rink team at Bluewater!
Bluewater Ice Rink is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Team Members to help create a safe, welcoming and memorable experience for our visitors throughout the season.
We are recruiting for the following positions:
Ice Stewards and Marshals
You will help keep customers safe on and around the ice, provide friendly assistance and ensure skating sessions run smoothly.
Being able to skate confidently is preferred, but it is not essential, as suitable training and equipment will be provided. You must be observant, approachable and comfortable helping customers of all ages and abilities.
Box Office Team Members
You will welcome visitors, process ticket sales and bookings, answer questions and help customers begin their experience on a positive note.
You should be friendly, organised and confident using booking/payment systems. Previous customer-service or cash-handling experience is helpful but not essential.
Skate Exchange and Customer Service Team Members
You will help customers select and exchange skates, keep the skate-exchange area organised and provide friendly assistance throughout their visit.
This is a busy, customer-facing role requiring good communication, attention to detail and a willingness to get involved.

- Remain calm and helpful during busy periods
- Take pride in maintaining a clean and safe environment
- Can work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, school holidays and peak seasonal dates
- Are willing to work in cold conditions
Previous experience is welcome, but it is not essential. Full training will be provided.
Working hours
This is a seasonal role running across the busy Christmas period.
Shifts will include weekdays, evenings and weekends, and you'll need good availability throughout the festive period before and after Christmas.
The rink is closed on Christmas Day.
We understand that people may have other commitments, so where possible we will try to be flexible with working hours depending on the availability of the wider team. If there are particular commitments you need to work around, we're happy to discuss them.
Pay & benefits
Team Members: £9.00 - £12.71 per hour
Plus:
- Holiday pay of approximately £1.09–£1.54 per hour

- PAYE employment
We employ all team members through PAYE, with tax and National Insurance handled through payroll.
You will need to provide evidence of your eligibility to work in the UK as part of the recruitment process.
