Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Objective:

In this role, you will oversee various aspects of operations, including bar management, floor coordination, and shift supervision, to ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our venue. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

 

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Genuine passion for hospitality and ensuring that the teams they and work in share this.
  • Lots of personality and not afraid to use it!
  • A love for food, drink, customer service and, above all else, people.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit with bags of business savvy and self-drive.
  • Previous experience managing a team/shift preferably in a fast-paced, branded operation

     

    Responsibilities:

    Supervise bar and floor operations, including inventory management, drink preparation, and adherence to service standards.

  • Provide guidance and support to bar staff, ensuring efficient workflow and exceptional customer service.
  • Coordinate with the floor staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction, including seating arrangements, table management, and addressing guest inquiries or concerns.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the venue, including bar areas, dining areas, and restrooms, to uphold sanitation and safety standards.
  • Oversee shift schedules and assignments, ensuring adequate staffing levels and coverage to meet operational needs.
  • Train and mentor staff members on service procedures, product knowledge, and customer engagement techniques.
  • Handle customer inquiries, feedback, and complaints in a professional and timely manner, striving to resolve issues and enhance the guest experience.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as inventory tracking, and reporting as needed.
  • Collaborate with management to implement policies, procedures, and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately, ensuring timely relay to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Prepare and serve a diverse range of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, and specialty drinks, adhering to quality standards and customer preferences.
  • Engage with patrons in a friendly and engaging manner, offering recommendations, and ensuring overall satisfaction.
  • Facilitate social gaming activities, or interactive experiences, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Process orders and payments transactions with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional service and foster a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
  • Monitor the quality of food, drinks and service to make sure that they are in accordance with company standards.
  • Ensure that front and back of house areas are set up correctly to ensure a successful shift and are closed-down correctly to meet the required standards as set out in the steps of service.
  • Be customer focused, ensuring a warmly staff presence at all times and anticipating guests’ needs to ensure their expectations are exceeded.
  • Ensure quality of product and service is monitored and consistently delivered through observation, attention to detail and interaction with both staff and customers – manage by constant checks of all areas of the venue.
  • Open and close the venue in accordance with open and close procedures.

 

Personal attributes:

  • Positive, driven, proactive, kind, engaging and charismatic. Ideally, with a good understanding of football and a general passion for sports and hospitality.
  • A team player who can also work individually.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or supervisory roles, preferably in a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with the capacity to interact effectively with staff and guests.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of bar operations, including drink preparation, inventory management, and compliance with alcohol service regulations.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain service standards.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service (e.g., TIPS) is preferred.
  • A passion for hospitality and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to every guest.
  • Enthusiasm for social gaming and the ability to create engaging and inclusive experiences for guests.
  • Willingness to adapt to various roles and responsibilities as needed to support the overall operation of the establishment.
